The Very Hungry Teenager

This evening we attended a vocations talk at our parish given by three seminarians.  It was outstanding and I'm so glad I hauled all four children up there so close to P's bedtime to attend.  After the talk the homeschool group provided pizza and a fruit buffet.  Driving home the kids were talking about what they had to eat.  This is a part of that converstation:

M: "I had three pieces of pizza and about a pound of grapes.  What's for dinner?"

Me: "Ummmm...that WAS dinner.  What did you think that was, a snack?"

M: "Yes.  That's why I stopped after three pieces."

  1. Sooo funny! I grew up with 3 brothers. Situated in the middle just like your Clare. They always ate sooo much food. There's your warning! Get ready!!! The food inhaling has only just begun!

  2. Teresa, I'm guessing the small amount of money we've set aside for college will soon become the grocery fund. ; )

  3. haha... a growing boy is what you have! I've noticed an increase of appetite in my 11 year old son. They must need it to fuel their activities. Have a Blessed Lenten Journey!
